Bob -

Seems like we've already had this discussion once before.......

Again, I'm sure glad _"I'VE_ never done anything that stupid...... :-)

Everybody: You're an idiot!

When I took off the covers, I also removed the remote VFO plug. I forgot to put it back. The TR-3 needs it jumpered.

I finally figured this out when taking resistance measurements and pin 7 of V2 should be 7 Ohms. It measured open. Imagine how I felt when I followed the line on the schematic to the VFO plug. Both joy and embarrassment.

So back to the real work.

After getting my TR-3 to partially work and having a QSO on 80M last night, this morning the TR-3 will not receive. It just hears the calibrator when the sideband switch is in the X position. The VFO has no effect. There is no voltage at the V1 test point, so I lost the oscillator. I did not even do anything to it yet. I was going to start the alignment procedure and took the covers off. It's the same on all bands. It's a shame since it was so close. What do I check for?
