Welcome to the TR-7! :-)
First flip the CNTR switch on the back panel to NORM. If still no
readout, or if switch is already in NORM, switch to EXT and stick a
piece of wire in the jack under the switch and key an HT or something to
see if it will count.

Also got stung on an MN2000 which you can you tell from my emails.
Digital readout non functional except for the dot...as in 7268 (dot) 00
DR7 board and Aux 7 board seem to be functional. Due to the
freq's that I have dialed in. Does appear that there are no "modules"
on the Aux7. ?? haven't looked yet.
First place to look? Pull the DR7 and reseat ?, check the pins ?
Waiting for all of the wisdom.
FWIW unit # 7049 using a PS7.
