The TR-3/4 series transceivers are not usable on any but the original five bands. The Noise Blanker is quiet rare, and typically sells for $150-200 IF found.

The 4 Series Twins ARE usable on any frequency between 1.5 and 30 MHz (except for a narrow range between 5 and 6 MHz and another around 10 MHz) with the addition of a crystal for the desired range. There is room for 15 additional "bands" (500 kHz wide) with front panel control in the receiver, and four bands in the transmitter. There is also an accessory FS-4 which is an external synthesizer that allows use over the full range, but it is also very rare and quite expensive.

I have been offered a TR-4C, however it would appear that this is not suitable for the WARC bands or am I mistaken (likely), also how rare are the noise blankers.
Ideas?
