Hi All,

Another project I'd like to work on is better filtering for the R4B. I operate
primarily CW and the R4B's 400 cycle bandwidth skirts just doesn't cut it in
today's crowded bands. There was an article by David Sumner in June 1972
http://www.dproducts.be/drake_museum/crystal_filter.pdf about adding SSB
filters from a a T4XB into an R4B. These filters are the same frequency as the
TR7 filters, it looks. I wonder if anyone has tried this mod and if anyone has
tired using TR7 CW filters instead? I can't find any info about the terminal Z
on either filter so I don't know if it's a mismatch or not. I would guess that
even if it is, a small buffer amplifier could compensate.
