Dale,

I have had real good luck with a 5x7 4 Ohm communications speaker from Surplus
Sales of Nebraska. It is a simple and easy replacement for the MS-4. Here is
the link to the page. It is also a replacement for Collins speakers so be
warned that it is a bit pricey.

Dale, the MS-4 Drake speaker is a 5x7 4 ohm speaker NOT a 6x9 8 ohm speaker.
Using an 8 ohm speaker will give you less volume. A good replacement is the
Radio Shack 40-1261C which comes up on ebay often, usually new in the box. It
is a 4,8, or 16 ohm speaker. It comes with the jumpers to select whatever ohms
you want. Radio Shack discontinued it a few years ago. I am not sure what the
SB-600 Heathkit's used.
