Hello all I am now home for Christmas, and spent an hour or so working on my TR7. I've leaned the contacts on the Molex connectors, and re-soldered what appeared to be either bad or dry solder joints. I have also replaced one of the 7805 voltage regulators. (The two voltage regulators that are one connected to the Digital display board. The rear most regulator had failed). Whilst the digital frequency counter is working fine measuring an external signal, the internal counter just keeps going up and up in frequency. I guess that the second half of the digital display board is part of the local oscillator curcuitry. I have ordered 10 turn pots to replace the one's on the voltage regulator board. The question is where I shuld start trouble shooting ? Shold I wait an replace the 10 turn pots first ? Regards Adrian MW1LCR
