Garey, I have looked why my TX seems to be "open", and it is not that single VCO unlock transistor being cut out that I could tell. This was a rig that John L had before me and I never knew the entire history.
There is an aux7 board with jumper modules in the rig, and I think there is something with it that allows out of band TX, but not sure. None the less, I was not going to attempt to TX given the strange combination of display frequencies and bandpass mis-match. Will look again at frequencies and voltages. I suppose I could make it a dedicated 80 meter rig, hi :-) 73, Ron WD8SBB --- On Sun, 1/24/10, Garey Barrell <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Garey Barrell <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [Drakelist] TR7 acting strange > To: "Ron" <[email protected]> > Cc: [email protected] > Date: Sunday, January 24, 2010, 4:40 PM > Ron - > > You may need to recheck your frequencies. ~17 MHz is > the "target" frequency for the Lo Band VCO (through 20M), > and 34 MHz for 15 and 10.
