Hi,
I'd suspect a faulty grounding of the PTO shaft, just due to age &
"crud". I expect there's an explanation & cure on Ron's website,
<http://www.wb4hfn.com/> which shows attaching a short pc of braid from the
spring loaded shaft follower to ground.

Subject: [Drakelist] TR-3 VFO Warble

Greetings All,
I just got my Drake TR-3 going again after being down due to bad volume
control pot and the fellow Drake collector with a parts TR-3. Volume now
works fine business.

Now I have warble when I am tuning a ssb signal. If I tune incrementally
giving time for the warble to stop I can get the signal tuned in. The no
problem after that. Sounds like something is dirty and in need of cleaning,
but I don't know where to start. My motto is when in doubt ASK? Anyone got
any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help
