There is also a product by Almost All Digital Electronics which add digital 
readout to a huge number of boatanchor radios.  I have not personally used  
any, but I have read many good reports.

http://www.aade.com/whichdfd.htm  lists the TR4.  Garey B would have to be the 
one to answer for sure, but I think the TR3 and TR4 used the same mixing 
scheme.  So a TR4 model should work on a TR3.
