Wayne,
Maybe. You can remove the vernier flush it with Gunk or other degreaser, repeatedly, like 5-10 times. Then, BEFORE reinstalling it, see if it slips "by itself". If not, then get some wide temperature range silicon lubricant, and apply it to the internals of the mechanism. Then reinstall it. If that doesn't work, and it is a 50-50 proposition, then replace the vernier drive. Shop for price, they vary between $10-40 approximately. I've replaced drives on both L4Bs and L7s, sort of an add-on when I rebuilt the power supplies, hi hi. 73, Evan -----Original Message----- From: Wayne Rogers <[email protected]> To: Drakelist <[email protected]> Sent: Fri, Mar 5, 2010 1:14 pm Subject: [Drakelist] L4B Plate Tuning Vernier Slips Can anyone help with Info on how to fix this problem?
