The dial on the 2-B is NOT linear. It's pretty close, but it's an LC
oscillator, NOT a PTO.
The marks on the knob skirt are "approximately" 1 kHz around any given
spot on the dial.
It seems arcane now, when clowns are arguing whether one is "200 Hz off
frequency" and they're BOTH 500 Hz high! :-)
Keep in mind that when this receiver was designed, on MANY _good_
receivers of the day marks that spacing would be _5 kHz_ each.......
