Chuck -
You can't 'transceive' with the pair, as there is no Premixer (PTO +
BAND) signal in the R-7. The 7 Line sends the PTO signal back and forth
for transceive.
You CAN use the pair in SEPARATE by using the ANT and MUTE cables to
connect the two, and depress the MUTE button on the R-7.
IF you plan to use SSB with VOX, (why? :-) ,) you might need to couple
audio out of the receiver, via a step-up transformer, ( 4 ohm to 5k, or
so,) to the ANTI-VOX jack on the T-4XC.
