Fellow Drake enthusiasts,
I added some rubber feet to an MN-2700 tuner to raise it up for my station so I could mount it above the fans on my L4B. Unfortunately, the out-gassing odor of the feet is causing an allergic reaction for my xyl and an annoyance for me. I tried the home remedies, pine cleaners, soaking in vinegar for several days, burying them in baking soda for several days, leaving them outdoors in the sun, etc. etc. and nothing has worked so far. Any ideas? I don't relish the idea of removing them from the MN-2700 since the tuner has to be partially disassembled to gain access to the mounting screws for the rear two feet. Then I could seal the extensions with clear polyurathane spray. Not a pleasant job, hi hi. 73, Evan, K9SQG
