I agree, it is a but of an annoyance. To me, the bigger issue is that you have people coming into mailing lists that have NO CLUE about the nuances of email or the features of their email program other than 'REPLY' and 'SEND'. They probably don't even realize that their replies aren't going to the list as a whole. I've had to explain to people who use M$ Outhouse Express every day how to do a BCC:. It could be reasonably assumed that a mailing list could be set up to not deliver a message that you posted back to you. Either way you set it up, there will be people who grumble that they liked it better one way or the other.
