Within the past several weeks, I've had unfortunate experiences with two vendors that I have dealt with for decades. In three instances, the vendors shipped incorrect products. The result is that refunds will be (hopefully) forthcoming but it will take 2-3 months for them to credit to my credit card; strangely, they bill my credit card on the day of the order, within minutes. In addition, I have to pay the shipping both ways even though they admitted that it was their mistakes. This is a policy change from years ago. Hence, when you are considering ordering parts for servicing your Drake gear, and there is more than one source, you might want to consider how the alternatives compare in terms of problem resolution. If you have a local vendor, you might even want to pay extra just to make sure you get the right parts and ensure you don't have extra costs and hassles if there is a problem. If you would like the names of the vendors (one with the initials of SP and the other AE), please contact me directly. If you have been a ham as long as I have, you know it doesn't have to be this way. For those that believe this, no proof is necessary. For those that don't, no proof is possible. 73, Evan, K9SQG
