This may be "oranges & apples" but I like to think of equipment "lists" in
much the same way that I view on-line classifieds. For the latter I use
eHam, QTH.com, etc. and find all to be useful. Would it make it easier if I
only had to search for gear on one list? Well, sure, just as it would be
"easier" if I only had to watch one "Drake List" for info of interest.
But the big plus side of multiple equipment lists is analogous to
multiple "Wanted/For Sale" lists: When *I* want to ask a question (just as
when I want to sell a piece of gear) I reach a much wider audience by using
more than one list.
So, I'm willing to put up with some glitches or delays on equipment
lists just as I'm willing to put up with (occasionally annoying) differences
in format & search techniques on classified lists. Nothing is ever perfect
(and as far as Wanted/For Sale lists are concerned I don't *EVER* want to
go back to QST Classifieds or monthly "yellow sheets" or any of that stuff.
On-line is so much more efficient it isn't even funny).
And BTW: Thanks, Garey, for all you have done and do for the Drake
aficionados.

Paul, K4MSG
