I'm not an expert but what I have used from time to time are: Silicon grease with a temperature range from -40 to +400 deg F. NON-detergent, light motor oil. NOTE: Based on Garey's advice I did *NOT* remove the shaft & reduction drive because of possible alignment issues, so I would guess that I'd have to either use a heavy oil (sparingly) or some kind of grease squeezed into the bearing housing.
