Joe, Have you prepositioned the "preselector" (called something different on the TX then the RX, but same knob) knob to the band in question? Then put the drive at about 10 o'clock and rocked the preselector within the band setting of the knob?
On most bands, the preselector knob is fairly critical. 73, Ron WD8SBB --- On Sun, 8/29/10, Joe Loverti <[email protected]> wrote: From: Joe Loverti <[email protected]> Subject: [Drakelist] TX4B no plate current help needed To: [email protected] Date: Sunday, August 29, 2010, 9:53 PM Hi... I'm new to this list and was hoping someone could point be in a direction to solve this problem. I recently purchased a TX4B that only has bias current, but I get can't any deflection in the meter beyond that. I tested the tubes and found a weak driver 12BY7A and replaced it with a new one. I've checked the continuity between the 6JB6 tube caps and the B+ lug (#10) and it checks OK... Now where should I look? Any suggestions, greatly appreciated.
