Hi Richard:

All analog conversion type equipment is like this. It is a function of the normal aging and manufacturing tolerances of the various local oscillator crystals. It is not uncommon for them to be several kHz off from band to band. Also, the VFO linearity will mean you have to adjust the dial every 100kHz to be real close, (every 50 or even 25kHz if the radio has a dividing calibrator).

My B series is actually pretty close from band to band..no more than a kHz or so...just lucky I guess.

Should I have to calibrate my tuning skirt every time I change bands or is this indicative of an alignment needed?

(sorry about all the rookie questions but I am a rookie)

Thanks
