Awhile ago I was having some trouble with an MN-4C that had failed.
Essentially it worked normally for 20M, 15M, and 10M but would not tune 40M,
80M or 160M. There appeared to be some arcing evidence around the 160M
capacitor. I'm thinking it may have experienced a surge from nearby
lightning strike?
After trying a lot of things, I finally replaced the bandswitch with a "NOS"
one from the auction site. That fixed the tuner and it is working fine now
on all bands.
