Yes, the light behind the knob is a 'PTO in Use' light during transceive
operation. There is a clear plastic 'lens' that forms the fiducial for
the knob skirt that is illuminated by the bulb. Same function as the
C-Line that turns the dial lamps on and off. The "B" uses the bias sent
along the INJ cable to control the lamps in the R and T. The "C" has an
additional cable between the two, (PTO LAMP,) to control the dial lamps.

I prefer the Rustoleum #7777 Satin Black for the B-Line. It's amazing
how many "black" colors there are! :-)

I had a c-line for a few years,now acquired a B-line. Went to do
repairs ,where the rig took a hit , on the face. Found the neon bulb
cracked ...under the knob... What's the purpose of the neon bulb? I
sat down and read the manual,couldn't find a reference to the bulb
anywhere.I believe it indicates something,like the vfo on the t4xb is
active? Did the C line have the same thing? Never took the knob off
,so never looked.
Also there are a coupla of rub marks in the black cabinet
paint,otherwise they are beautiful, anyone have a good touch up fix.
