I am sure most of you all know me and the Drake refurbishing work I have been doing since the 1970's.
Using a dish washer will work well, and I have used that many times in the past, and without destroying a radio. HOWEVER, yes there is a very strong HOWEVER, NEVER, but NEVER, do it if you do not know what you are doing. To be sucessful, the process is 100% technique, knowing percisely what to do, what to protect, what to remove, and so forth. If you do not fully undertand all the techniques, know and follow all the do's and don't, you WILL destroy or severly dammage the radio. That is guaranteed. So I suggest not using that method and stay with the tooth brush. 73, Ron / WB4HFN ----- Original Message ----- From: "TC Dailey" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, February 22, 2011 12:52:50 PM Subject: [Drakelist] Those Dishpan hands.. er radios Dishwashers work swell on carbureators, but not so pretty good on radios.
