I set up a vintage station at our club's Field Day this year. Primary was a
Viking Ranger with a 2B. We also used a T4XB/R4B. All was on CW using a
Johnson TR switch for QSK. The entire club made 400 contacts in total
including SSB and digital while 300 out of the 400 of them were made with the
2B/2BQ/Ranger. Worked great. We used a "Transworld Antenna" portable vertical
dipole. Our call was W0SRC. Perhaps you heard us chirping and drifting up and
down the band LOL!! Acutally the Ranger sounded quite good and the 2B was
marvelous paired up with an Autek QF1A audio filter. Most QSO's were
