You can use whichever approach is attractive to you. Just remember, the injection cable must be a low capacity cable, I believe Drake used a 91 ohm low capacity cable; might want to check the experts on this one. If you have good soldering skills, you can make your own. Or if you prefer, premade cables can be obtained at the WB4HFN website and elsewhere.
