Thanks Ron and guys for the suggestions on the weird modification. Ron's thought about a RTTY VFO mod makes perfect sense. I didn't get a chance to ask the seller if he ran RTTY as the deal fell though when the sale condition became 'as is' and I couldn't test the R-4C, T-4XC, or the L-4B to find out if it worked. 73, Scott WA9WFA
