I have a Drake R-4C early version (6HS6). I usually stay on 20 meters, but lately I have gone to 40 meters and noticed that when I tune past midway to LSB on the passband tuning that everything dissappears. That is, no audio in the tuning. Upon further checking I noticed that all bands have no audio when tuning to LSB. I take it that there is a problem with the BFO. I would like guidance on troubleshooting this problem. I can leave the passband in USB and tune in all the other bands and peak the preselector, but nothing in LSB tuning. I hate to start in a wrong direction. Thanks, Eric W3EU
