I have repaired the problem with the BFO. Originally, I was getting a BFO
reading from 51.464 KHZ (USB) to 50.387 KHZ (midway) and would fade out to LSB.
There were no shorts. I did measure 8.06 vdc on the stator of the passband
tuning. The BFO transistor was pulled and tested. It did show a gain, but I
was getting leakage on 2 settings for this transistor. The 2N3394 was replaced
and passband tuning is fully operational.
