after updating today, gears is up at 2200-2300 FPS again. Pausing/unpausing an xmms running in the background, or also changing volume still gives me massive slowdowns for about 1 s, after that performance goes up to normal again. I'm using a CMedia-PCI-Sound-card (CM8738), with kernel oss driver, if that matters. > performance in q3a is also very poor for me at the moment (but it seems > fairly stable (played for about 20 min. without lockup/crash, which is > better than i used to get with earlier driver builds) q3a-performance is still as low as yesterday. one thing that might be interesting: framerate in q3a seems to never get above 50. it's mostly around 20-40 (all settings at maximum, 1280x1024). com_maxfps is at the default value of 85, and monitor vsync is 75 Hz. So I'm wondering why the framerate doesn't go beyond 50? anyway, keep up the nice work, driver are getting better every day, thanks ;-) > system: 8500 LE, XP1800+, KT266A-mobo, dri-cvs (trunk) from 30 min ago, > linux-2.4.19 (vanilla), debian unstable > ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Dri-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dri-devel
