True, but the largest useful framebuffer size I can get is 1664x768. 
Modes other than 1024x768 on my laptop's LCD tend to be a bit wonky, or
don't work when using both crtcs (perhaps a limitation of RMX?). Still,
for testing purposes it is worth a try.

What's involved in doing that?  Unfortuantely my understanding of the
3D side is still pretty limited.  Perhaps I will delve into that when I
have time next.
