no, there's nothing in my log files. I'm wondering if it could be the way I've 
got my kernel set up. I just freshly installed RedHat 9(again..), and 
installed all this stuff. The first time I did it I couldn't get many programs 
to run in XFree86, they'd start then use 100% of the CPU and never open. Some 
programs like my window manager, Blackbox, would run, but gnome, kde, and all 
the programs related to them wouldn't start, and I couldn't find any problems. 
I tried running them with gdb, no luck. Do you think it'd be possible to send 
me a copy of your .config file? I have a feeling that could be the problem. If 
it's not, then I'll screw around with it longer to try to figure it all out.
