Well, the two 8800 I know of have the same exact BIOS (MD5) that this website lists. I will check the third one I have bought for another friend. Also, the 8800 is a workstation card and I do not believe ATI would change things often after release since that would mean certifying a lot of things afterwards. I could be wrong. ajax, could you check your 8800's BIOS against the one listed on techpowerup and see if it is the same ? > Also, you don't happen to have fast writes enabled ? It did not make any difference. I tried FW on and OFF, AGP 1X, 2X, 4X, TCL, NoTCL... Every configuration would crash at one point or the other. The only thing that was clear was FW + AGP 4X + TCL crashed a hell of a lot faster than FW OFF + AGP 1X + NoTCL. Like, "within the first seconds" versus 10-15 minutes. The main factor seemed to be TCL/NoTCL and then AGP 4X vs AGP 2X. Right now, 2.6.13 + DRM/DRI snapshot from 4 August 2005 + 6.8.99.15 is perfectly stable - not a single crash to report. And that's with FW enabled ( Option "AGPFastWrite" "on" ). khaqq ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
