I think I know which commit is causing this, but it could be good if you 
could verify with bisect, and perhaps file a bugzilla bug to handle the 
problem.

The thing is that the commit does a great deal of good for other VIA 
chipsets so there might be a workaround needed for specific CLE266 
revisions, and perhaps a couple of patches for you to test.
