The f71ac0e40b9d950bcb3bba42a75d41f45b6ed1bf revert commit fixed my initial problem with console switching and resuming. Now the 03/23 git hangs earlier during the resume. Normally, when coming out of resume, the screen is initially in low resolution mode with a big text cursor in the top left corner. This resolution switches to 1400x1050 (I'm running radeonfb) usually within 1-2 seconds and then the corrupted X window comes up then it refreshes itself and all is well. The resume hang seems to happen only after the machine has been asleep for longer periods (overnight) and it hangs at the low resolution/large cursor step and requires a hard reboot. I'm using the latest git drm, 03/23 xf86-video-ati, compiz, xserver 1.4, radeonfb...
