Here is a backtrace obtained by Sami Pelkonen on T41 laptop with ATI Radeon
Mobility 9000 (M9) Lf (AGP). Compiz disabled and glxgears also works.
Compiled Blender SVN version (24195) with debugging and it produces following
backtrace in gdb:
