I have not got a chance to have a "Creative Labs Live! Cam Optia webcam"
yet. I got some messages from people, remote debugging are not enough to
root cause the problem. I will work it further when I got such a device.
Or, I can help people on debugging. So far, "My investigation result
indicates that, this webcam might
not fully compliant with usb video class spec."
I purchased this camera because it was the only moderately-priced
camera that advertized itself as driverless, and following the USB
standard for cameras. How can we help you get one of these cameras?
Would it help if I filed a bug report? I've tried it in Nevada build
74, with the same result. The Logitech camera works.
Is it much cheaper than the logitech pro 5000?
If there are clear and strong requirements to support the device, I will
try to find one and work further on it. In the meanwhile, I suggest that
you talk to Creative folks and let them know your requirements, because
I suspect that this issue is closely related with this specific
hardware, according to my investigations before. I am happy to work with
hardware engineers to make it work on Solaris.
