I haven't looked through all your changes, but have gone through some. I just wanted to comment on the LINTTAGS in the Makefile. In general you don't want ANY LINTTAGS. However, there are a lot of them, and they continue to propogate, which is even worse. I wanted to say thanks for taking one out of there. Garrett, are all of these used on most GLDv3 drivers? Would be good to see them cleaned up, not sure how much effort that would take, I know there can be quite a bit, as Masa can also attest to.
