Does not matter actually :)
The plugin system compiles pieces in or allows them to be loadable.
The difference in performance is pretty minor in most cases, but if
you decide you want a piece linked directly... we do as you wish :)
Right now functions are written differently for internal/external.
That will be cleaned up shortly.
