I didn't even know the 2nd syntax existed :)  (then again, I also didn't
know about mysqlbinlog --start-position and --end-position, so I've been
using head, tail and grep all this time)...

point being...trash it.  I_S will give us a *real* query, not a faux query
that looks like a query but isn't really a query, and takes longer to type
anyway.
