Nope, that is not the reason that it has to use row-based
replication.
Ok - I know it's a sideline topic but can you clarify what Falcon's
issue is with repl?
The problem is that Falcon does not support SERIALIZABLE mode, and
statement based replication requires serializability.
Row-based replication does not require that transactions are
serialized, so it works with conventional MVCC engines.
[ to support serializability you have to do "gap locking", which is a
complete pain - :) ]
