For a relatively mature project like Perl, this definitely brings up
backwards-compatibility/stability concerns, but for a project like
Drizzle which has a lot of forward momentum, relatively little installed
base and no strong mandate to "release only when it's complete and
perfect" it seems to be a much easier decision.
