Right.

Can be uncompressed either on MySQL/Drizzle side or Sphinx side,
by the way.

We've recently added a feature to unpack the incoming column data
before indexing.  It currently supports plain zlib and MySQL
COMPRESS() flavours, but it's easy to add more decompressors.
