Dear Hirak, right now there are not an official built-in support in dspace to plugin viewers but it is something really interesting and I real hope to have that supported in the new UI Angular based that will be build for DSpace 7 (https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/DSpace+7+UI+Working+Group).
We have introduced a pluggable support for viewers in DSpace-CRIS, it is an open source extension of DSpace (https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACECRIS), and we use the same framework to provide some addons including an IIIF image viewer and audio/video viewer also in basic dspace installation.
