Hello, DSpace does not have a "thumbnail" field available out-of-the-box. So, it's unclear what field you want to add to OAI-PMH's output. DSpace stores thumbnails as completely separate bitstreams (files), and they are not linked into OAI-PMH by default. I'm not aware of a way to link thumbnails into OAI-PMH, but maybe someone else on this list has done that before.
If you already have a custom thumbnail field, we do have documentation on adding additional metadata fields to OAI-PMH.
