Hi, you can customized OAI-PMH interface to expose  thumbnails links (in a similar way as Vufind or other harversters use OAI-PMH..)

From a previous message in this list:

/Hi, //
/

//

/I think that any  OAI/PMH  adaptation to Europeana/EDM  schema must include a link to  the resource or/and the thumbnail of the resource/

//

/for example://
/

//

/https://ebuah.uah.es/oai/request?verb=GetRecord&metadataPrefix=edm&identifier=oai:ebuah.uah.es:10017/2369//or //
/

//

/http://rodin.uca.es/oai/request?verb=GetRecord&metadataPrefix=edm&identifier=oai:srvrodin.uca.es:10498/6376/

//

/has a link to the resource, main file in the ORIGINAL bundle. Change this to the main file in the thumbnail bundle is trivial/

let us know if you need the code

best

Thanks Tim,

No I've no custom thumbnail field, I mean using the generated thumbnails by dspace script command.

Thanks.

    Hello,

    DSpace does not have a "thumbnail" field available
    out-of-the-box.  So, it's unclear what field you want to add to
    OAI-PMH's output.  DSpace stores thumbnails as completely separate
    bitstreams (files), and they are not linked into OAI-PMH by
    default.  I'm not aware of a way to link thumbnails into OAI-PMH,
    but maybe someone else on this list has done that before.

    If you already have a custom thumbnail field, we do have
    documentation on adding additional metadata fields to OAI-PMH.
    Please see the "Add/Remove metadata fields" documentation at

        Hello All,

        After I've investigated the OAI records in my DSpace instance
        at this URL

http://repository.taibahu.edu.sa/oai/request?verb=ListRecords&metadataPrefix=oai_dc

        I didn't find the thumbnail field listed in these fields, I
        need this field in oai_dc schema to be shown in VuFind
        harvested records.

        Is it possible to add this field to Dspace OAI_DC schema?

        Thanks in advance.

        Regards.
