Hi everyone,

Materials from the DSpace & ORCID Update call
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1MEat_CwLWcIW9bHMqlnHbHfPOpqQi-U5VeIY0EYSx5o/edit?usp=sharing>

that took place on June 9, 2025 are now available (below), and we have
identified three important actions that DSpace community members can take
now that will help us to continue improving ORCID and other Persistent
Identifier (PID) integrations in DSpace moving forward:

*Action Requests:*

   1. Please fill out this brief survey
   <https://forms.gle/az4dkrfh9sExarbc7> to let us know the current status
   of your DSpace repository.
   2. Please review this new DSpace ORCID Scenarios

<https://docs.google.com/document/d/16WOVjiBBHBAOmLw9vFBTJN3CiE6CfTgHpBqM3OE1YWM/edit?usp=sharing>

   document that outlines various options for ORCID functionality depending on
   what version of DSpace you are using and other factors. Feel free to leave
   comments and questions in the document, as we are open to any feedback that
   will help to improve the quality and completeness of the documentation.
   3. Please comment on the Github tickets for the additional ORCID
   improvements that have been identified:
      1. ORCID OAuth Email Workflow
      <https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/issues/10338>
      2. Enable ORCID iDs to be included in downstream metadata
      <https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/issues/9529>
      3. Enable migration of authority record ORCID iDs to Person Entities
      <https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/issues/9530>
      4. Improve ORCID synchronization
      <https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/issues/10832> and utilize ORCID
      webhooks <https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/issues/10833>
