Description:
This is a prototype Quartz integration for DSpace Services, It will need
further work, but is an initial starting point for providing Asynchronous
Scheduling. We should look also at JMS Messaging Systems and determine if
there is an analog.
There needs to be further work done to draft an architecture for clustered
eventing which may/may not be related to this topic.
Hey, hey, this is also me trying to JUnit test driven development for once ;-)
Next steps were to look into creating a few Quartz Jobs that reflected real
DSpace activities and adding them to another maven project that would be
dependent on both dspace-services and dspace-api. Then, looking to create an
XMLUI Aspect that would be used to review, add, delete, schedule, pause and
restart jobs.
