searching for an url as identifier, e. g.

results in an "invalid search string" message.

This doesn't seem like a bug to me. Lucene's syntax requires
the user to escape certain search terms to distinguish them
from their reserved use. Maybe an alternative could be to
place a link in the docs to Lucene's query syntax page?
