I'd be interested in looking into this -- in fact just yesterday I
hacked together something for one of 'my' repositories that customises
the order in which its top-level collections are shown. While my hack
works in this particular case, I do think it'd be neat if this could be
customised in a cleaner way, preferably so that administrators can
change this themselves via the UI.

I'm not sure what would be the best way to do this (nor in fact where to
discuss this, assuming there is someone else to discuss it *with*). A
reasonably obvious solution would be to store the order in the database,
but then that'd require a change to the db schema and I'm not sure
whether that's a good idea.

Any ideas, anyone?
