Thanks Ben, great work! Would you be able to attach a single patch with those
changes to this issue, to help Oracle users who are currently experiencing the
issue, and don't want to wait for 1.7.1?
I'll see if I can dig one out based on your commits, if i get it wrong please
just replace with your own version
