Tim Donohue commented on DS-941:
--------------------------------
Stuart,
My preference would be to just drop any common prefixes, e.g.
ConfigurationManager.getProperty("authentication-ldap", "enable");
Similarly, for all the Shibboleth settings, you'd drop the
"authentication.shib" common prefix, e.g.
ConfigurationManager.getProperty("authentication-shib", "email-header");
In other words, if the prefixes are all the same throughout the entire
configuration file, they don't serve a lot of purpose in my mind (unless
someone else can think of a reason why they would still be important to keep).
Though, obviously, all these changes will require updates to our Documentation
as well.
> Marker ticket for splitting up the dspace.cfg.

All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable.
Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security
threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes
sense of it. IT sense. And common sense.
